Why I love being a travel agent

For as long as I can remember, travel has been my favorite thing in the world — not just seeing new places, but the way it brings my family closer together and gives us memories we talk about for years. Every Sandals trip, every mountain hike, every rollercoaster scream with my kids has taught me that the right trip can change how a family connects, recharges, and sees the world. I became a travel advisor because I wanted to turn that passion into something bigger than my own vacations. I love the idea of helping other families and couples find their own version of those moments — whether that's a romantic escape, a milestone celebration, or an adventure the whole family will never forget. There's nothing better than knowing I played a part in creating someone's favorite memory.

Book the "in-between" weeks - the edges of peak season often feel just as amazing, with smaller crowds and better prices. Always tell your agent about the occasion. Anniversaries and honeymoons sometimes score resort surprises when the resort knows in advance. Room location can beat room category. A well-placed room near the pool sometimes wins over a fancier "view" room that's a hike from everything. Traveling with family? Request connecting rooms right away.

Favorite destinations

Two of our favorite Sandals destinations and two very different kinds of magic. Sandals St. Lucia brings views and variety. With three resorts to choose from, "stay at one, play at three". Whether you want lively watersports, quiet luxury, or golf, there's a resort for every mood. Sandals Grenada is more intimate. Favorite vacation memory

One of my favorite memories was a quiet evening we almost didn't plan for. We'd dressed up for dinner, and on our way, paused to see sky turned every shade of orange, and for a second, I forgot to even take the picture - I was too busy looking at my wife, who looked absolutely stunning with that sunset behind her. We finally snapped the photo, and it's still one of my favorites, not because the lighting was perfect, but because it captured exactly how I felt in that moment: lucky.
