Picking the right stateroom for you and your family can be a tough job. Do you save some money and go with an indoor cabin with no view, or do you spend a little more to get a cozy balcony so you can wake up and say hi to a beautiful ocean right in front of your eyes? Cruises are just getting bigger and bigger, and this also means that there are more and more accommodation options inside these sea juggernauts.
Celebrity Cruises, known for its beautiful gardens and gorgeous aesthetics, also offers a classy feel when it comes to its rooms. Most of the standard rooms come with the amenities you’d expect in a hotel room, including double twin beds (or a queen bed), a mini-fridge, a small desk, and a few power outlets.

One thing that Celebrity does differently is introducing new cabin types that provide access to entirely new areas or restaurants on their most recent ships. For example, The Retreat is one of the most luxurious cabins onboard and even includes the assistance of a butler, while AquaClass suites offer access to an exclusive thermal suite, a complimentary restaurant, and more.
These are the cabin types offered by Celebrity Cruise Line:
- Inside
- Ocean View
- Verandas
- Concierge Class
- AquaClass
- The Retreat
Celebrity Cruise Line Cabin Types
Inside Cabins onboard Celebrity Cruise Line

- Good for: small groups and single passengers, those that won’t stay a lot of time inside their rooms, if you want to save a lot of money.
- Room for: 1-4 passengers
- Price: $$
- Starting price per guest for a 7-Night Eastern Caribbean cruise on March 2025 aboard Celebrity Apex: $1,200
Inside cabins on the most recent Celebrity ships range from 181 to 231 square feet and are among the most popular choices. Celebrity, like several other cruise lines nowadays, also offers cabins designed exclusively for solo travelers, which tend to be a bit cheaper than the price shown above (but sell out very fast!). You know the drill with these cabins, right? They are simple and effective, primarily suited for those who don’t want to spend much time in their rooms and are focused on exploring the ship before returning to their beds late at night just to sleep.
Ocean View Cabins onboard Celebrity Cruise Line

- Good for: small groups, those that want some natural light coming in.
- Room for: 1-4 passengers
- Price: $$
- Starting price per guest for a 7-Night Eastern Caribbean cruise on March 2025 aboard Celebrity Apex: $1,200
These rooms are slightly larger than the standard inside rooms, measuring between 200 and 348 square feet. The main difference is that these rooms feature a window (which cannot be opened) that provides some view and natural light.
You might be wondering how a room that is larger and has a window can be priced the same as inside rooms. The answer is that inside rooms are very popular and sell out quickly, while ocean-view cabins are less in demand. These cabins are becoming increasingly rare on cruise ships, as guests often prefer either inside cabins or verandas, causing the prices for ocean-view cabins to drop significantly.
Verandas Cabins onboard Celebrity Cruise Line

- Good for: those that want a balcony to enjoy a nice breeze
- Room for: 1-4 passengers
- Price: $$
- Starting price per guest for a 7-Night Eastern Caribbean cruise on March 2025 aboard Celebrity Apex: $1,400
Verandas are arguably the most popular cabin choice on every cruise line. Celebrity Cruises offers various sub-categories of veranda cabins, with sizes ranging from 184 to 369 square feet. In fact, the Concierge Class and AquaClass cabins are often considered standard veranda rooms with added perks. These cabins are among the best options available, offering affordable prices (especially if booked months in advance) and the added luxury of a private balcony, certainly a great feature for a romantic vacation.
Concierge Class Cabins onboard Celebrity Cruise Line

Good for: those that want a balcony to enjoy a nice breeze, if you like the perks offered
Room for: 1-4 passengers
Price: $$
Starting price per guest for a 7-Night Eastern Caribbean cruise on March 2025 aboard Celebrity Apex: $1400
The Concierge Class is essentially a Veranda cabin with additional perks, such as concierge service and the ocean-view Infinite Veranda with lounge seating. Did you notice that the price is the same as a standard veranda cabin? As I mentioned, booking in advance can be highly advantageous. Checking the prices in mid-August reveals that you can essentially get the Concierge perks for “free,” as if you were booking a standard veranda room.
The Concierge Class cabins give you access to a few special services and amenities. They are:
- Exclusive Welcome Aboard Concierge Class Lunch
- 1 bottle of Sparkling Wine per cruise upon request.
- Veranda with lounge seating
- Personalized Concierge service
- Main & specialty restaurant seating time preference upon availability
AquaClass Cabins onboard Celebrity Cruise Line

- Good for: those that want a balcony to enjoy a nice breeze, if you like the perks offered, if you want a really romantic atmosphere
- Room for: 1-2 passengers
- Price: $$$
- Starting price per guest for a 7-Night Eastern Caribbean cruise on March 2025 aboard Celebrity Apex: $1,600
AquaClass cabins are similar in size to the Concierge Class cabins, and made for only one or two passengers. They are perfect for a romantic couple, and offer a lot of perks for those that love the spa and want nothing but to relax during their vacation. There are also several other advantages included, and the main one is probably complimentary access to the Blu restaurant and exclusive access to the Sea Thermal Suite.
These are the main perks offered:
- Unlimited access to the Adults-Only Sea Thermal Suite
- Dedicated Spa Concierge
- Priority Spa Reservations
- Complimentary fitness classes
- Exclusive spa treatment package discounts
- Complimentary access to the AquaClass Exclusive Restaurant: Blu
The Retreat Suites onboard Celebrity Cruise Line

- Good for: those that want a balcony to enjoy a nice breeze, if you like the perks offered,
- Room for: 1-6 passengers
- Price: $$$$
- Starting price per guest for a 7-Night Eastern Caribbean cruise on March 2025 aboard Celebrity Apex: $2,900
The Retreat is the premier suite option onboard Celebrity Cruises, offering the most extensive perks, including a private butler, an unlimited premium drink package, and even premium Wi-Fi (though this may not be available with some promotions).
The Retreat typically receives excellent reviews from guests, especially on newer ships like the Apex, due to the convenient proximity of restaurants, hot tubs, restrooms, and other amenities within the private Retreat area. However, many guests feel that these suites may not justify the cost on older ships.
Here are some of the excellent perks you get when you book a The Retreat Suite:
- Unlimited Premium Drink Package
- Premium Wi-Fi package (not included in some promotions)
- Priority departure and embarkation at most destinations
- Access to The Retreat Sundeck
- Full in-suite breakfast, lunch, dinner service, and daily delights
- Dedicated spa concierge and personal consultant
- Complimentary fitness classes
- Complimentary laundry service and unlimited pressing service
- Option to dine in Blu restaurant
Choosing your ideal Stateroom aboard Celebrity Cruise Line

So, which cabin is perfect for you if you’re planning to travel with Celebrity Cruises?
It depends on the type of passenger you are. If you're traveling with Celebrity Cruises and are looking to enjoy a peaceful time with your significant other, a standard Veranda cabin is a great choice. It offers more space than inside cabins, and the private balcony adds a nice touch for a romantic experience. You can book in advance and basically only pay $100 or $200 more than a standard inside cabin.
Alternatively, if you’re looking for a more luxurious experience, The Retreat suite is an excellent option. If you're traveling with your loved one and want to make the most of your time together, The Retreat offers a luxurious stay and a fantastic opportunity to create amazing memories. You’ll enjoy a personal butler, a premium drink package, and, most of the time, free Wi-Fi as well. While The Retreat can be quite expensive and cost more than twice as much as a Veranda cabin, it’s a wonderful way to celebrate a special occasion.
Locations
Just as important as choosing your cabin category, choosing the right location can also impact the quality of your cruise. Let’s see some of them
Midship cabins
This is a safe and often considered the best option for many cruisers. Being in the middle of the ship means you're conveniently close to everything, especially the elevators. Another good perk? Cabins in the middle of the ship experience less motion, making them ideal for those prone to seasickness during a cruise.
Aft balcony
These are the rooms located at the aft (back) of the ship. Specifically, these rooms overlook the stern (back) of the ship rather than the sides. Aft rooms often have larger balconies and offer a serene view of the waves generated by your vessel. They are also generally quieter than rooms in the middle of the ship, making them a good choice for those seeking less noise. The main drawback is that they can be a bit farther from the elevators.
The Bow

The bow is also known as the front of the ship. Some cabins are actually cheaper in this location, and the reason is simple: this is the area that shakes the most. If you often feel seasick, avoid cabins located on the front of the ship at all costs. Cruise passengers prone to motion sickness should search for a room in the middle of the ship, and usually on higher levels.
Hump Balconies
These are the rooms located on the outward curves of the ship's outline. They feature larger balconies compared to standard balconies, often at the same price. Another advantage is that these rooms are typically situated in the middle of the ship, offering two good perks for a great deal.
Connecting cabins
Many rooms offer connecting cabins, which are especially common for interior cabins. Connecting cabins provide extra space, effectively doubling the size of the room and accommodating up to ten people in total. And guess what? You get an extra bathroom too!
