Room Options Onboard Costa Cruise Line

You know what’s important when planning your next cruise? Choosing the right stateroom for you. Costa brings five different stateroom options, including:

  • Interior ($)
  • Sea View ($$)
  • Sea Balcony ($$$)
  • Sea Terrace ($$$$)
  • Suites ($$$$$)

Interior cabins are the most affordable option, while suites are the most expensive and come with several perks. We’ll give you an in-depth look at each cabin category, highlighting their features and typical pricing. Keep in mind that prices can vary a lot depending on the date, ship, and itinerary, but this should give you a good idea of how prices compare across categories.

We’ll also cover Sea Terrace cabins in the Sea Balcony section, since they’re quite similar and just come with a few extra perks.

Depending on your loyalty level with the C Club, you might also get upgraded rooms that include free room service and other perks.

Interior Cabins

  • Size: Approximately 13–14 square meters.
  • Features: Twin beds that can convert into a queen, ample storage, and a private bathroom with shower.
  • Best For: Budget-conscious travelers and those who don't mind the absence of natural light.
  • Average price for two guests on an 8-night Mediterranean cruise: €2,100.

If you're looking to cruise without breaking the bank, interior cabins are your go-to option. These rooms are designed for travelers who plan to spend most of their time exploring the ship and destinations rather than staying all day inside their rooms sleeping.

While these cabins lack windows, they offer a comfortable space to rest after a day full of activities. Some ships even offer single interior cabins, perfect for solo travelers.

Sea View Cabins

  • Size: Around 17–18 square meters.
  • Features: A picture window (non-opening), twin beds convertible to a queen, and additional sleeping arrangements like a sofa bed or Pullman bed.
  • Best For: Travelers who want natural light and a view without the premium price of a balcony.
  • Average price for two guests on an 8-night Mediterranean cruise: €2,420.

For those who prefer a bit of natural light, oceanview cabins provide a window to the world outside. These cabins are a step up from interior rooms, offering the added benefit of a simple but cozy view.

Oceanview cabins strike a balance between affordability and comfort, making them a popular choice for many cruisers. They’re good if you want a slightly bigger room than an interior stateroom and really crave that natural light early in the morning.

Sea Balcony Cabins

  • Size: Approximately 20–21 square meters, including the balcony.
  • Features: Sliding glass doors leading to a private balcony, twin beds convertible to a queen, and additional sleeping options for extra guests.
  • Best For: Couples, families, and anyone who values private outdoor space.
  • Average price for two guests on an 8-night Mediterranean cruise: €2,700.

Sea Balcony cabins are your standard staterooms with a balcony, perfect for those who want to sip a coffee while gazing out at the ocean. These cabins are ideal for scenic cruises, letting you enjoy the views from the comfort of your own space.

Costa Cruises also offers what they call “Sea Terrace” cabins. These are essentially Sea Balcony staterooms but located on the top deck, giving you access not only to a private veranda but also to an exclusive terrace, perfect for catching that special tan whenever you want. A Sea Terrace cabin is more expensive than a standard balcony, costing around €3,000 based on our 8-night Mediterranean cruise example.

Suites

  • Size: Varies from 28 to 53 square meters, depending on the suite category.
  • Features: Separate living areas, larger balconies, upgraded bathroom facilities (some with whirlpool tubs), and premium furnishings.
  • Best For: Travelers looking for luxury, additional space, and exclusive perks.
  • Average price for two guests on an 8-night Mediterranean cruise: €4,550.

This is it… the most expensive stateroom option onboard Costa Cruises! Suites are spacious and luxurious, offering several perks like a private butler, access to a dedicated restaurant, a large private terrace, free room service, an upgraded bathroom, priority boarding, and more.

Suites tend to sell out quickly, so if you're looking to book one, your best bet is to plan your cruise several months in advance.
