Ritz-Carlton Yachts are a great choice for:
- Travelers looking for an intimate and romantic setting

- Those who want to experience the best Marina in the industry
Ritz-Carlton Yachts might not be great for:
- Travelers seeking a wide range of entertainment options
- Anyone looking to save on their next cruise
Ritz-Carlton Yacht might just be one of the fanciest cruise lines in the world.
Can you imagine a five star hotel at sea? That is how Ritz-Carlton likes to describe their beautiful, ultra luxury ships as you travel across the icy glaciers of Alaska or visit the beaches of Santorini in the Mediterranean.
Ritz-Carlton entered the cruise industry in 2022, promising to give guests a new meaning to the phrase “home far away from home”. Their all suites, all balcony staterooms are among the best at sea, their service is impeccable and they provide some amazing short itineraries for those who want to recharge and take some time away from the stress of daily life. If you want an intimate, classy, upscale cruise that feels like an oversized mega luxurious yacht, then this is the place to be.

Booking with Famvia is completely free, and you might even save money since our travel advisors may have access to special deals not available elsewhere. We specialize in luxury cruise lines, with hundreds of guides for companies like Explora Journeys, Ponant, Crystal Cruises and more, and we would love to share our expertise with you.

This is a cruise line with just three yachts so far, launched in 2022, 2024 and 2025. They carry between 298 and 452 passengers and have a strong presence in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Asia and Alaska. To put things in perspective, the mega resorts at sea from Royal Caribbean carry more than 4000 passengers. Ritz-Carlton’s three yachts - Evrima, Ilma and Luminara - have a few design differences, but all of them focus on high end luxury, plenty of open spaces for you to walk around and an upscale atmosphere inspired by the high end Ritz-Carlton hotels.
Most spaces onboard their ships are made for you to relax and truly resemble a high end hotel. Their ships even have an area called The Living Room, which is basically a large space full of couches where you can sit and unwind. The ships are filled with spaces like this and with lounges designed for relaxation, and they even include a small kids club and three swimming pools. The swimming pools are not as large as the ones you would find on a mega resort at sea, but they are stylish and elegant, located in strategic areas of each ship.
One of the main features of a Ritz-Carlton Yacht is its Marina. The Marina is a platform at the back of the ship, filled with lounges and set close to the water level, giving you some of the best views of the sea. What’s even better is that once the ship anchors, the Marina gives you direct access to the ocean, and a platform drops with kayaks, snorkeling gear, toys and all kinds of fun stuff. It’s like having your own private beach right by your ship. The Marina isn’t a new concept in the cruise industry, but many guests agree that Ritz-Carlton has delivered the best version in the world.

Staterooms are also an area where the yachts deliver a home run. They are all suites, and all come with a veranda, twenty four hour room service and private concierge service. It is not exactly the same as having a private butler, but you can call your room attendant and they will help you in any way they can. Entry level rooms are 294 ft² and include a private veranda of at least 56 ft², plus king size beds, a minibar and an espresso machine.
Ritz-Carlton Yachts are also all inclusive. Food and meals in most restaurants are complimentary, with only one restaurant charging extra. The vast majority of alcoholic drinks are included in your fare, and you also get free Wi-Fi, gratuities and a personal room attendant. The spa costs extra, shore excursions are not included, and some premium drinks may also come at an additional cost.
A cruise with Ritz-Carlton is not cheap, so expect to pay $4,000 or more for a standard itinerary. One good thing is that they focus a lot on short itineraries, which is actually rare for ultra luxury cruise lines. This gives you a great opportunity to celebrate a special occasion, like an anniversary. Their ships are also low key when it comes to entertainment options, so it is more about piano bars, lectures and simply relaxing at the Marina or your favorite lounge with a drink in hand. Shorter itineraries help ensure that you will not get bored onboard and that you will enjoy the destinations and your partner more than ever.
Ritz-Carlton Yacht Reviews

The Good
Intimate and fancy: a cruise onboard a Ritz-Carlton Yacht is elegant, romantic and truly refined. There is a different aura onboard, with plenty of space to move around and beautiful lounges and areas inside the ship that feel like they were made just for you. This is a cruise line for anyone who wants to recharge their energy, sit by the pool with a drink in hand or enjoy a romantic night out with the love of their life. In many ways, it feels like a five star hotel at sea.
The Marina: the Marina is not a new feature on a cruise ship, since it first appeared on Ponant a few years ago, but Ritz-Carlton yachts might have the best version at sea. This is a watersports platform that gives you direct access to the ocean and opens when the weather permits. Not only are there numerous lounges here and plenty of space, but the Marina is also equipped with kayaks, snorkeling gear, toys and all kinds of fun items you can use when the yacht anchors. It is one of the best areas on the entire ship and you should not miss it.
Staterooms: these look like suites from some of the best hotels in the world. Ritz-Carlton staterooms are all suites, and all have a private balcony. They are also larger than the industry standard, include private concierge service and offer twenty four hour room service. Even entry level rooms are impressive and far better than what you find on most cruise lines, and the staterooms only get better from there.
The short itineraries: one of the cool things about Ritz-Carlton Yachts is that many cruises focus on short three or four night sailings. These are great options if you want a weekend escape in Greece or the Caribbean, and they are perfect for anyone celebrating a romantic moment. Many ultra luxury cruise lines focus on longer seven or fourteen night cruises, but Ritz-Carlton does things differently, giving you more variety in this competitive market.
The Bad
Not for everyone: Ritz-Carlton Yachts is not for everyone, and that becomes even more evident when you compare it to other ultra luxury cruise lines like Silversea or Explora Journeys. There are not many entertainment options onboard, no casinos and no live shows. There is a kids club, but it is quite small. These cruises are great for couples looking for a three or four night escape, since you might run out of things to do on longer itineraries.
Prices: ultra luxury cruises are certainly not cheap, and that is true for Ritz-Carlton Yachts. A cruise here often costs $4,000 or more per guest, and a seven night Caribbean cruise starts at $7,200. Mediterranean and Alaska cruises tend to be more than that. That is higher than many other ultra luxury cruise lines, but keep in mind that you are paying for a level of luxury and beautiful staterooms that are hard to match.
How Much is a Cruise on Ritz-Carlton Yachts?

Ritz-Carlton Yacht is all about ultra luxury yachts for fewer than five hundred passengers, so expect prices to be on the higher side. This brand is all inclusive, offers all suites and all balcony staterooms, and provides an excellent guest to space ratio. Prices are a bit higher than most ultra luxury brands, so expect to pay at least four thousand to five thousand dollars per guest when sailing to the Caribbean, and at least seven thousand dollars if you are planning a Mediterranean cruise.
Next, we are going to list some itineraries and starting prices with Ritz-Carlton. These prices fluctuate quite a bit, but they help give you a good idea of the average cost of a Ritz-Carlton Yacht cruise.
- 3-Nights San Juan roundtrip (most affordable cruise): $3,200
- 3-Nights Fort Lauderdale roundtrip: $3,800
- 4-Nights Barcelona to Rome: $6,800
- 8-Nights Caribbean cruise from San Juan: $8,400
- 7-Nights Alaska cruise from Vancouver: $10,400

Ritz-Carlton Yacht Fleet and Destinations

Ritz Carlton Yachts are small and intimate, perfect for anyone who wants to relax or enjoy a quick weekend in San Juan, a few days in Italy or a full week exploring Alaska.
They are each unique in their own way, even if they share some design elements. The smallest of them is Evrima, which launched in 2022, and the most recent ship is 2025’s Luminara. Each new ship is slightly bigger than its predecessor, with more indoor space, a few more suite subcategories and a surprise new restaurant. They all have cozy lounges, are all suites with all balcony staterooms and all of them feature The Marina.
Here is their current fleet, alongside the date each ship launched and some interesting extra details about them:
- Evrima (2022; 298 guests; 6 suite categories; 5 restaurants)
- Ilma (2024; 448 guests; 7 suite categories; 6 restaurants)
- Luminara (2025; 452 guests; 8 suite categories; 6 restaurants; extra bar)
As far as destinations go, it is interesting that even though Ritz Carlton Yachts only launched in 2022 and have just three yachts, they already offer more than two hundred itineraries that sail almost all over the globe. They focus mainly on the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Asia, and they also offer short sailings that are perfect for trying out the Ritz Carlton experience.
Here are their destinations, along with the number of itineraries they offer and some of the most popular cruise lengths:
- Mediterranean (88; 4-Nights and more)
- Caribbean (78; 3-Nights and more)
- Asia (35; 7-Nights and more)
- Northern Europe (19; 5-Nights and more)
- Alaska (13; 7-Nights and more)
- South Pacific (13; 7-Nights and more)
- Africa (5; 11-Nights and more)
Is Ritz-Carlton Yacht for You?

Ritz Carlton Yacht is for those who want an intimate and cozy cruise with the love of their life, or a group of older friends who want to try something new. This is a cruise line for anyone who wants to feel like they are in a five star hotel at sea instead of feeling like they are on a typical cruise ship. Lounges onboard and most entertainment options are simple and cozy, and the most you will find are a few lectures and piano bars.
This is also a cruise line for those who cannot afford week long vacations on an ultra luxury cruise. Many ultra luxury lines that operate in the Caribbean and Europe mostly offer week long itineraries in these regions, but Ritz Carlton Yachts specialize in short three or four night sailings. It is also a cruise line for guests who enjoy dressing a bit more elegantly. Ritz Carlton Yacht can feel like a private club at times, and some guests dress up more for dinner even if there is no formal night onboard.
I would not recommend it for families with children (even if there is a Kids Club), or for anyone looking for a longer vacation on an ultra luxury cruise line, especially if it is your first time.
Activities Onboard Ritz-Carlton Yachts

Ritz Carlton Yachts are all about relaxing. These ships do not have casinos, waterslides or any other entertainment options that you might see highlighted on a mainstream cruise line. What you will find are bars, a piano lounge and an infinity pool. These ships also do not have a sports court.
Here are the highlights you will see on all three ships:
The Marina: the best entertainment spot that Ritz-Carlton Yachts offer. This area has lounges, chairs and sofas, and it descends straight into the water when the ship anchors, letting you swim right beside the ship. The Marina also holds kayaks, snorkeling gear, paddleboards and many other fun items you can use.
- Spa
- Fitness Center
- Swimming Pools
- Boutiques
- The Humidor: an elegant cigar and cognac lounge.
- The Living Room: a piano lounge filled with chairs and sofas for you to relax.
- Ritz Kids: the Kids Club onboard for children between four and twelve years old. Sessions for kids cost extra.
