Seabourn Cruise Line Room & Dining Options

Ever wondered where you can sleep and eat onboard a luxurious cruise ship?

Don’t worry, every option here is great. In this guide, we will talk about the elegant suites on Seabourn Cruise Line and all the complimentary dining venues available onboard. We will divide the room and dining options into different categories, as we will examine everything from the rare oceanview cabins all the way to the premium suites.

The best part about Seabourn is that the rooms are larger than those on similar luxury cruise lines, and the food is often considered excellent, all included in your fare. Honestly, you could close your eyes and pick randomly, and you would still have an amazing experience overall. After all, we are talking about an ultra-luxury cruise line.

Personal Suite Hosts And Suite Attendants

Even though Seabourn does not have private butlers, the service they provide feels very similar. Are you traveling with Seabourn? Then get ready to meet your Personal Suite Host and Attendant. This service combines elements of both butler and concierge assistance. They can help you arrange a romantic dinner in your suite, a cocktail party, or even a relaxing bubble bath.

Suite Hosts focus on organizing and setting up what you request, while the Attendants are more hands-on. They are not available by your side at all times to bring drinks while you relax by the pool, but they can still assist with anything you need. Think of them as butlers who help you from a distance, as your requests need to be arranged in advance.

Stateroom Categories

Staterooms across Seabourn Cruise Line are usually luxurious and spacious, ranging from 246 square feet to 1,023 square feet. Almost all rooms on Seabourn have a private balcony, and all of them are considered suites. In fact, only the entry-level staterooms on the Odyssey Class ships, which are the oldest in the fleet, have oceanview cabins.

These are the types of staterooms you can find onboard Seabourn Cruise Line:

  • Oceanview Cabins
  • Veranda Suites
  • Penthouse Suites
  • Owner’s Suites and Above

Let’s take a look at each of them.

Oceanview Cabins

  • Good for: if you don’t want to spend a lot with your stateroom; if you don’t plan on staying inside your room a lot.
  • Extra Perks: None

The Odyssey Class is the only one in the entire Seabourn fleet with oceanview cabins. These cabins do not have a private balcony and instead feature a large window, which cannot be opened, allowing natural light to enter and providing views of the passing scenery.

All Oceanview cabins measure around 295 square feet and include a living area with a dining table for two, a queen-size bed or two twin beds, a walk-in closet, a television, a fully stocked fridge, a makeup vanity, and a bathroom with a separate tub and shower.

Veranda Suites

  • Good for: those that want a great room with a balcony and nothing else, or a room that is a safe choice for affordability and high quality.
  • Extra Perks: None

Veranda Suites are the first rooms on Seabourn Cruise Line that feature a private balcony. They measure between 246 and 302 square feet and are a great choice for those who want a basic room but do not want to cruise without a veranda. Aside from the balcony, the amenities are very similar to those in Oceanview cabins.

Each Veranda Suite includes a comfortable living area, a queen-size bed or two twin beds, a dining table for two, a walk-in closet, a television, a refrigerator, a makeup vanity, and a spacious bathroom with a separate tub and shower.

Penthouse Suites

  • Good for: those that want a luxurious stateroom with a balcony; if you love the listed extra perks; if you want a room with lots of space.
  • Extra Perks: Unlimited Premium Wi-Fi that can be used for streaming; Nespresso machine; a welcome bouquet with fresh flowers; customized fruit selection; extra perks for the Penthouse Spa Suites that we list below.

Penthouse Suites are a larger and upgraded version of the traditional Veranda Suites. These suites measure around 540 square feet, feature a separate and intimate area for the queen bed, two televisions, and come with a larger balcony. They provide more space to relax and stretch your legs compared to Veranda Suites.

Penthouse Suites also offer additional perks, such as an unlimited Stream Wi-Fi package and an in-room Nespresso machine. They are ideal for those who want plenty of indoor space, enjoy a large veranda, and plan to binge some of their favorite shows while visiting some of the most beautiful destinations in the world.

Penthouse Spa Suite

Some ships also feature what Seabourn calls the Penthouse Spa Suite. These suites include all the amenities of the traditional Penthouse Suite, along with additional features designed to help you relax. These added perks include a second bar with healthy drink options and snacks, access to the Spa Serene Area, the services of a Spa Concierge throughout the voyage, and a selection of special bath products.

Owner’s Suites and Above

Seabourn Cruise Line Signature Suite.webp

  • Good for: if you want nothing but luxury; if you plan on spending a lot of time inside your stateroom.
  • Extra Perks: the ones from the Penthouse Suites, but not the specific ones from Penthouse Spa Suites; binoculars in your stateroom; private car airport transfer of up to 50 miles.

The most luxurious suites onboard Seabourn Cruise Line are the Owner’s Suites, Signature Suites, and Wintergarden Suites. These accommodations start at around 700 square feet and increase in size from there. Owner’s Suites feature a designated living area, a dining area, and a whirlpool bathtub. They also include all the perks of the previous suite categories, with added touches such as veranda whirlpools in some cases, an expanded bar with a wider selection of drinks, and even a complimentary private car transfer to or from the airport for distances of up to 50 miles.

These are the suites for those who want to relax above all else. They are located in the most privileged areas of the ship, offering sweeping ocean views and the largest verandas available onboard.

Seabourn Cruise Line Dining Options

Great news: dining is one of the areas in which Seabourn excels, and everything they offer is excellent and all-inclusive. Want some caviar and champagne? You got it. How about a nice steak? That’s fine, and you don’t need to pay extra for it. Add to this the excellent service and the almost 1:1 guest-to-crew ratio, and you can sit down and eat all day with some of the most professional staff in the industry.

Seabourn is also a member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, one of the world’s most prestigious gastronomic societies devoted to the art of fine dining. With a fancy name like that, they clearly understand what good food is all about.

Dietary Needs

Guests with special dietary needs should notify Seabourn at the time of booking, or at the latest, six weeks before sailing. You are also encouraged to take advantage of My Seabourn, where you can personalize your cruise experience, select your dining preferences, and manage your reservations and Seabourn Club information. Of course, we here at Famvia can help you with that.

Room Service

Room service is complimentary and available 24 hours on Seabourn cruise ships.

Dining Reservations

Dining reservations are usually not required on Seabourn. You do not need reservations to dine in The Restaurant, The Colonnade, or Patio Grill. However, for your convenience, Seabourn suggests making reservations for parties of six or more. Dining accommodations for groups of six or larger can also be requested onboard.

Carry-on Drink Policy

You are free to bring alcohol to the ship and no corkage fees apply.

Restaurants onboard Seabourn Cruise Line

Solis

Solis is a new restaurant that debuted on Seabourn in 2024, replacing The Grill by Thomas Keller. The concept is simple: a rotational menu inspired by the destinations you visit. Heading to Spain or is your ship in Barcelona? Expect some authentic Spanish tapas. Visiting Portugal? It might be time for some bacalhau.

At first, it may sound like the menu doesn’t offer many choices, but the reality is quite the opposite. While you’ll find new items inspired by different ports of call, there are also plenty of Mediterranean favorites to choose from. Solis is a fresh concept for Seabourn, and it’s also one of the few venues where reservations might be required, as it typically accommodates only about 90 guests per evening.

The Restaurant

The Restaurant: this is actually the fanciest restaurant onboard, and a great option if you’re looking for a romantic dinner. Chefs here are constantly creating new recipes, and the menu changes daily, giving you more than 100 options overall during certain cruises. Sometimes there is an event here called the Galley Market lunch, which is a huge (and we mean it) buffet that takes place during lunch inside The Restaurant that you should not miss.

The Colonnade

Seabourn Cruise Line The Colonnade.webp
Seabourn Cruise Line©

One of the main dining venues on a Seabourn cruise ship, it serves buffet and à la carte breakfast and lunch, plus à la carte dinner. One cool feature is that the theme changes daily, ranging from Italian to French, Indian, and even Vietnamese. While some dishes are always available, you might enjoy more pasta and special dishes on Italian Day, or French onion soup and lobster on French Day.

You can choose between the buffet or à la carte, and you can also dine indoors or outdoors while enjoying a beautiful view from the top deck. This is a must-visit dining venue, both for the excellent dishes and the ease of simply sitting down and enjoying a meal.

The Patio and Earth & Ocean

A casual spot located near the pool, The Patio lets you order champagne and caviar before taking a swim. It serves cruise classics like burgers, pizza, and a variety of sandwiches, and also offers a light buffet and salad station right by the pool. Seabourn’s service is so attentive that on hot days, waiters even walk around the pool near The Patio offering gelato and drinks to guests. Yes, Seabourn really goes above and beyond.

In the evening, The Patio transforms into Earth & Ocean, a casual yet elegant spot where you can enjoy a great meal while watching the sunset. Seafood takes center stage here, so make sure to try the swordfish at least once.

Sushi

Seabourn Cruise Line Sushi.webp

Sushi is delicious… and complimentary, fresh sushi is even better. Keep in mind that this restaurant is available only on Seabourn Ovation and Seabourn Encore, though a smaller version of Sushi can be found inside The Club on the other four ships.

So, what can you find here? Expect sake of all kinds, champagne, wine, and dozens of varieties of sushi, nigiri, maki, and signature rolls. The venue is actually quite small, even on the Encore and Ovation, with seating for no more than thirty guests, but that only adds to its charm. Sushi is open for both lunch and dinner, though there are more menu options in the evening, while lunch focuses on lighter bites like miso soup and gyoza.
