Are you a fan of tea cup rides?
There are a bunch in theme parks all over the world, and one of the most classic versions is in Disneyland Paris with Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups. Other than that, you have Storm Force Accelatron at Islands of Adventure and Alien Swirling Saucers at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, which is also themed after a Pixar franchise.
Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, by the way, is very similar to Alien Swirling Saucers, as you sit in a spinning car for up to four guests and change tracks from time to time. It’s simple, it’s fun, and the short wait times make sure you can come here, get a good laugh, and never feel like you wasted your time. Buckle up for our exclusive review and let’s see what works and doesn’t on this ride.
What we like about Cars Quatre Roues Rallye
This is a very chill ride that kids and adults can enjoy. It’s a simple teacup ride where you stay inside a Cars vehicle and spin around, changing tracks from time to time. I like that you hardly get any headache while inside (unlike Storm Force Accelatron) and the movement isn’t overly aggressive or intense. There also isn’t any ride height requirement, so you can bring your children here to spin around for about 90 seconds and everyone can have a good time.
The theming is also very cute. Since the ride area isn’t huge, everything is nicely condensed. You see Cars characters nearby, rocks painted to look like old canyons, and the ride vehicles are all well done. Honestly, the theming here is better and makes more sense than the nearby Cars ROAD TRI, and it helps that wait times are low. You usually won’t have to wait in line for more than ten minutes.
It’s also a ride without any surprises, and you can basically tell what you are getting just by looking at it. It’s a teacup ride designed for children and toddlers who don’t need to worry about ride height requirements, and there are even some fun near misses. If you are walking nearby and see a five-minute wait time, you can definitely hop in line and enjoy it without feeling guilty.
What we don’t like about Cars Quatre Roues Rallye
I mean… I feel kind of guilty talking badly about teacup rides, the same way I would feel writing about what doesn’t work on a carousel. This is a simple ride that was made so families could enjoy something together, and it is basic, but I feel like this kind of ride needs to exist in every theme park. It’s simple, sure, but the wait times are very low and even toddlers can ride it.
Conclusion
Do you have five minutes to spare on a teacup ride? Then you might have fun here. This is a ride that children will enjoy, and if the queues are under ten minutes and you have the time, come on in. It’s the better Cars ride in the park, and we recommend it over Cars Road Trip.
