This might be THE ultimate party ship in 2027
Margaritaville at Sea is on a roll. They entered the cruise industry barely three years ago and have become a major player in the budget cruise market, offering many vacations under $300 for those who want to party and explore the Caribbean.
Things seem to be going well, as Beachcomber is set to join Islander and Paradise in a couple of years. So yes, you can start dreaming about a margarita again, as a bigger ship with even more surprises is set to sail weeklong Caribbean itineraries in 2027.
Bigger and Better
Beachcomber is the newest Margaritaville at Sea cruise ship and promises to be bigger and more impressive than both Margaritaville at Sea Paradise and Islander. This is their first ever 100,000 ton cruise ship for up to 3,400 passengers, and puts them into the big leagues next to Carnival and MSC Cruises. If you loved Islander, get ready because you are probably going to fall for Beachcomber as well.
For those who are out of the loop, Beachcomber is actually the former Costa Fortuna. It will continue sailing under the Costa Cruises brand for most of 2026 before being fully transformed into a Margaritaville at Sea ship.
At least 15 new things to do (and explore)
The ship will introduce 15 brand-new experiences exclusive to Beachcomber, although only a few have been revealed so far. Fan-favorite venues will return, including the signature photo-ready Flip Flop Atrium, the 5 o’clock Somewhere pool area, the Hemisphere Dancer, the JWB Prime Steakhouse, the Cheeseburger in Paradise burger bar, and the License to Chill bar.
With comfort food and great drinks leading the charge, this ship is perfect for guests looking to relax and party, with prices starting at $349 per guest. Margaritaville at Sea is known for budget-friendly vacations, often cheaper than Carnival and MSC, and Beachcomber will continue this tradition while sailing out of PortMiami, Florida.
The pool deck, called the 5 o’clock Somewhere, will be the largest in the fleet. It will feature a playground, a waterslide, whirlpools, and a stage for live music. Guests can enjoy drinks at the exclusive Daiquiri Shack and tacos at the Mexican Cutie Cantina. Yeah, margaritas and tacos right next to each other on an affordable cruise does sound perfect. Cabanas will also be available to rent for guests who want an extra dose of peace and quiet, a first for Margaritaville at Sea.
Beachcomber is big and almost doubles the size of Islander. It also focuses on 4 to 8 day cruises to the Caribbean, which is new for a cruise line that used to focus on shorter 2 to 3 day trips. As we mentioned earlier, this is Margaritaville at Sea being bolder while keeping prices fairly reasonable for what will probably be one of the most affordable new ships in 2027. Do you like saving money? Do you like Margaritas? Then welcome aboard.
