Changes to Disney World Dining Plan starting in 2024?

The anticipated return of Disney World Dining Plans in 2024 comes with a twist that has brought up some controversy!

For Disney fans who used the dining plan to get quick service credit for three snack credits, well this option will no longer be available when the Dining Plan returns in 2024. This alteration in the longstanding policy has been confirmed by Disney World.

    Understanding the Disney Dining Plans

If you opt for the Dining Plan, you'll receive one snack credit for each night of your stay, with the number of table service and quick service credits varying based on your chosen plan.

    Quick Service Dining Plan

$57.01 per adult per night (ages 10 and up)

$23.83 per child per night (ages 3 to 9) in 2024

    • Two Quick Service meals (lunch and dinner) with a beverage.

    •  One snack/non-alcoholic drink.

    •  One Resort refillable drink mug per person.

    Standard Dining Plan

$94.28 per adult per night (ages 10 and up)

$29.69 per child per night (ages 3 to 9) in 2024

    • One table service entrée, dessert (lunch and dinner only), OR full buffet.

    • One quick service meal (lunch and dinner) with a beverage.

    • One snack/non-alcoholic drink.

    • One Resort refillable drink mug per person.

    Planning Tips for Maximum Value

    • For the Quick Service plan, enjoy two Quick Service meals, a snack, and a beverage each night.

    • The Standard Dining Plan offers more things, including table service meals, quick service meals, snacks, and beverages.

    But, keep in mind...

    • Making advance dining reservations is recommended for table service meals.

    • The Dining Plan doesn't guarantee seating priority at Disney World sit-down restaurants.

To Choose or Not to Choose?

You need to compare the cost-effectiveness of the Dining Plan for you and your family. Some people might find it more convenient, while others may prefer the flexibility of purchasing meals as they go. It all depends on what you think is the best option for you.
