It all started with a key figure...
Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the few attractions that the one and only Walt Disney directly witnessed its creation around the 1960s, right before the first Pirates of the Caribbean opened at Disneyland in 1967.
In 1971, Magic Kingdom opened its doors for the first time in Florida, followed by the official debut of Pirates of the Caribbean in 1973, which was an important addition to the theme park.
