Heading to Disney World in March? You’re probably counting down the days, but before you go, we think there are some crucial points you might not have considered. Don’t worry, because we are here for you to list some common mistakes you should avoid.
Remember the Important Dates
The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival starts February 28th and runs until May 27th. So you need to plan ahead to make the most of this event. Also, be mindful of March Madness which is happening from March 17th to April 8th, which might fill up bars, rides and lounges all across Disney.

The Super Crowded Times
March has a lot of events, but the most important one is St. Patrick’s Day, which is celebrated on March 17th and Easter on March 31st, which means CROWDS. You complain about the two hour queue time for Slinky Dog Dash? Multiply that by two during Easter.
Raglan Road in Disney Springs is a great spot for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Also, WATCH OUT for special events at ESPN Wide World of Sports like The Quest Championship and Disney Spring Training.
Counting on Closed Attractions
You need to keep in mind that several attractions will be closed in march. We can list the Country Bear Jamboree in Magic Kingdom, Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom, and Rock N' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith in Hollywood Studios. Some resort pools like Fantasia Pool at Disney’s All-Star Movies will also be closed.
Our best advice?
Plan accordingly, and make dining reservations in advance to avoid disappointment. Oh yeah, Disney Genie+ will also come in hand. Also make sure to wake up early when it's time to get a spot in a Virtual Queue, especially for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Tron Lightcycle Run.
