Staying at Creek Villas at Wilderness Lodge
Disney's Wilderness Lodge, the hotel we previously recommended, offers the Copper Creek Villas: a fusion of modern rustic décor and railroad-inspired elements. Let's dive into the details of this accommodation and the overall experience of staying in this unique setting.
The newly introduced villas and the idyllic waterfront Cascade Cabins collectively form the Copper Creek Villas. You might know that what was formerly known as the Villas at Wilderness Lodge has now transitioned into Boulder Ridge Villas with the Boulder Ridge Cove Pool.
This restructuring may seem perplexing, but it consolidates all "new" developments under a single DVC resort, distinguished by a later expiration date. The studio villas offer cozy accommodations for up to four adults and come equipped with essential amenities such as a coffee maker, mini-fridge, toaster, and microwave.
The studios measure around 340 square feet, mirroring the dimensions of Wilderness Lodge's regular rooms. They feature thoughtful space-saving solutions such as slide-out pantries and under-bed luggage storage. The decor strikes a balance between modern luxury and rustic charm, though some elements, like the dresser, may be considered a perk by some and a drawback by others.
Despite minor reservations about room aesthetics, Wilderness Lodge remains a guest favorite destination at Walt Disney World. Copper Creek Villas may not rank as our preferred room choice in the resort, but they do offer a satisfactory experience with all the allure of the Pacific Northwest and U.S. National Park Lodge theming.
