Walt Disney World offers guests the opportunity to connect and learn so much about the ecosystem that we share this wonderful home we call Earth, thanks in part to the Animal Kingdom complex. Guests can enjoy a handful of activities available that gets them closer to nature, be it in one of their resorts or simply by enjoying the theme park. There is one activity, however, that has stood out on our last visit, let’s check it out!
Safely connect with the wildlife
There is no reason to be scared of wild animals when visiting Animal Kingdom. Guests may even want to be as close as possible to them! This probably wasn't so easy for Disney, since it's challenging to create a safe interaction between visitors and wild animals.
Let’s remember how important it is for Disney to keep these treasures of nature in the best condition and respect them in every possible way but, at the same time, the company maintains its compromise of ensuring a fun and magical experience for all its fans.
That’s why Disney has come up with different activities that guarantee a great time for guests and wildlife at the same time, and we are more than happy to be part of it too.
Starlight Safari
Disney World's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a deluxe resort that is surrounded by more than 200 animals and birds, and offers guests a memorable moment with the Starlight Safari. This activity takes place in the Savanna right outside the hotel… at NIGHT! Wow, this will be a hot topic when you come back home with so many pictures, huh?
In this night-time tour, guests are required to be present 15 minutes before the activity starts, and are even equipped with a cool night vision device that allows them to see the more than 30 species that live around the Village. It certainly is an unique experience.

Kids need to be over 8 years old to be part of the group, and there is an additional price for Starlight Safari (contact us to know more about it, and help you plan and book this activity on your next Disney visit).
