That’s right, there is a complete day dedicated to the action of planning a vacation, and even though this may be an overlooked activity, it's a crucial one in every scale. From small trips to the beach half an hour from your hometown to a cruise adventure on another continent, both of them are equally important to plan with dedication and beforehand so you can always have a great time.
How did it start?
Every year on January 30th it is time to remember the importance of planning a vacation, especially in the work culture that we are so used to nowadays.
This initiative started back in 2017, thanks to the U.S. Travel Association’s Project: Time Off, which was born to encourage the American population to get together and plan their vacation for that year, that’s why it is celebrated at the end January.
The organization saw that over and over the years, more Americans wasted their vacation days, and it was important to remind everyone how vital it is to have an excellent strategy for vacations and the quality of life improvements that this brings to friends and families.
For example, after a few months living an established routine, it is great to have a weekend off in the Happiest Place on Earth, right? Or to take a few weeks off to enjoy a wonderful voyage to the Caribbean. It recharges your energies, lets you create new memories, meet new people and helps you go back to your life with a whole new mindset (and full of energy as well).
