I'm not your father, but I highly suggest you swing by the Empire State Building to be amazed by the complete Star Wars takeover happening there. Star Wars has been present in our lives for many many years, and it still impacts us in the best way possible. So let’s take a look at the major surprises that this wuniverse has prepared for fans, especially the one taking over Disney parks!
Start immersing in this galactic journey
May 4th is a very special date for all Star Wars fans who love to commemorate this timeless and memorable story over and over again. This date came up from the famous phrase “May the force be with you”. It's much like a word scramble that assigned that date as a date to celebrate everything Star Wars.
It's truly fun, many fans wear costumes and meet up to enjoy different activities related to this world. As for me, I like to just rewatch one of the best movies of all time: Rise of the Skyw---... The Empire Strikes Back, of course.
It's time to visit the Empire State Building
When the special date arrives, fans can immerse themselves in the interstellar experience at the Empire State Building from now until April 19th, 2024. However, don't expect to see the same Millennium Falcon that's at Disney World on display there.
For starters, how would they manage to put it there, right? But you can enjoy many special experiences such as taking a pic next to the life-size Darth Vader Funko POP. No idea how they got it there as well, but it looks so cool too. It looks like the Dark side has taken over the Empire State Building, so don't get surprised if you spot some Star Destroyers flying across the skies. Also, is that Hayden Christensen above? It is! Hello, mister Darth Vader. It's nice to see you.
LEGO is there too
LEGO couldn't miss out on this thrilling celebration either. They've decided to feature life-size Darth Vader and Darth Maul sculptures, entirely constructed from LEGO bricks. Darth Maul is being featured more and more in Disney media recently, which makes me think he will make an appearance in the upcoming Acolyte Tv Series. Hm!
Yes, they can do it all I guess. And we love that they all try to do everything as realistic as possible, this makes the experience much more enjoyable and will surely leave you in awe at every turn.
New merch opportunities
For these dates, there have been also some exciting product reveals and collabs that we enjoy so much. The one causing the most excitement is the Disney Store collection set to launch exclusively for May 4th. Oh, and by the way, shopDisney is now known as Disney Store. Despite the name change, the magic remains unchanged; they just wanted a little update.
The artist behind this exciting new collection is Will Gay and it has been inspired by Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. This is in honor of its 25th anniversary. Yikes, already 25 years, it feels like yesterday. There are also exciting accessories for this collection, that we can’t wait to show off duringour next vacation (or maybe every day).
Disneyland is ready to roll
Drums roll, please, because Disneyland Park is getting ready to bring an exciting galactic atmosphere for fans. Available from April 5th to June 2nd, 2024. Season of the Force is packed with exciting experiences and great theme offerings that will make your experience an exciting one. Expect special food & drinks, merch, Hyperspace Mountain (a rethemed Space Mountain) and so much more.
Hey, don't forget about the iconic themed buckets! They'll also be available. Look out for the collectible "Salvaged Stormtrooper Helmet Bucket" scattered around the park, perfect for holding buttery popcorn, salty french fries, or even Galma Garlic Puffs. Sounds delicious, right?
