Introducing the Critters of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
This week the Executive Creative Director of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure invited several members of the press into the magic world of cypress trees, water lilies, and Spanish moss to meet some of the new Audio-Animatronics characters who are central to this musical journey.
In the heart of the bayou, Princess Tiana finds herself in the need to find a band for her upcoming party due to a mix-up between Prince Naveen and Louis, so to complete the Mardi Gras celebration, Tiana and Louis embark on a search to find musical critters who are going to be essential for a successful party.
The Critters
The Creative Director introduced guests to a group of critter musicians performing a lively rendition of “Gonna Take You There” from “The Princess and the Frog.” Led by these adorable characters, you'll be melted away by the Zydeco melody while you dance down the river with dancing fireflies as decoration.
Byhalia the Beaver
A skilled percussionist and engineer, Byhalia constructs musical instruments from natural bayou materials, serving as the band's heartbeat.
Gritty the Rabbit
Known for her high-energy washboard playing, Gritty is always ready to lend a helping hand.
Beau the Opossum
Beau, with her gourd bass, is the synonym of wonder and beauty.
Apollo the Raccoon
A creative storyteller, Apollo transforms abandoned objects into musical art, accompanied by his squeezebox.
Rufus the Turtle
Rufus adds rhythm with his harmonica and it’s known for his sincerity and love of adventure.
Timoléon the Otter
The elder of the group, Timoléon loves playing and storytelling.
These lovable critters are just the beginning of Tiana's adventure, so keep an eye out for more surprises while Disney prepares to introduce them to you at Walt Disney World Resort this summer and later this year at Disneyland Resort. I still want to know if Tiana's Bayou is going to be a reskin of Splash Mountain or if they will add new drops and surprises. I hope they do, but I am not really sure, honestly.

And if you can't wait to bring a critter home, Beau, Apollo, and Rufus will soon be available as huggable plushies so you can take a piece of Tiana's Bayou Adventure magic to your house. They do look very charismatic, aww! Maybe they will make a cameo in Zootopia next?
