Tips for Visiting Disney World with Teens!

    Traveling with Teens to Disney?

We know, it’s hard when our kids grow older. Their interests change, they now complain to eat the broccoli, they think they are too cool to ride the carrousel...  Walt Disney World Resort knows it as well, so they offer fantastic attractions, restaurants, and experiences for tweens and teens of all tastes.

Do you want to know some of them so you can start planning a perfect vacation for the WHOLE FAMILY? We've go your back!

Famvia's guides to the best Kid-Friendly Rides!

That's right, we have special guides dedicated only to Kid-friendly rides across every single Disney World theme park. Check them out!

    Disney After Hours

For tweens and teens who enjoy staying up late, Disney After Hours is a perfect fit. This separately ticketed event grants special access to popular attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT and TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom. The wait lines are shorter, so that part alone will make them happier. We know how kids can get impatient in long queues, hm? Brings me back memories from Slinky Dog Dash...

    Technology and Gaming

At Walt Disney World, you will find Interactive attractions throughout the theme parks that offer experiences that will probably delight gamers. You can try piloting the Millennium Falcon or competing on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and Toy Story Mania.

These last two rides are interactive shooting galleries that are very reminiscent of a video game! Grab a laser gun, shoot stuff and aim for the high score.

    Dining Experiences

With plenty of options and over 200 dining locations that offer diverse themed plates, Walt Disney World is a paradise for adventurous eaters. When it comes to food, you need to encourage your kids to explore new flavors because there is nowhere else to eat them. Pro tip: take them to Epcot so they can try fun new dishes around the World Showcase. Kids usually love the Japanese restaurants, especially Teppan Edo, where the chef is at your table preparing the food in front of you.

    Disney Water Parks

Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon are a hit with tweens and teens. You can find attractions like fast slides and rollercoaster-like raft rides. These parks also have the largest wave pool in North America!

With these recommendations, your older kids will have an unforgettable time at Walt Disney World Resort, and you too, because when we know they are happy... we are happy!
