Do Not Waste Your Time With This Universal Attraction

Skip it or take the risk

Ah, Universal Orlando. A place where families, friends, couples, and even solo adventurers can experience the thrills and excitement offered by so many rides! VelociCoaster, Hagrid's, Spider-Man, Revenge of the Mummy... it's a long, looong list. But, alas, not all rides or attractions are created equally (*cough* Fast and the Furious *cough*).

While most rides are tons of fun and worth trying, it's true that not everything is sunshine and roses. There are some rides that are better off skipped.

Saving time is the key

The best way to determine if a ride is worth your time and excitement is by trying it, right? But that decision can lead to two possible outcomes. One, you may hate it, and spend the rest of your day regretting the decision. Or, on the other hand, you may love it, and it will become one more enjoyable experience to remember. The question is, are you willing to take the risk?

As travel experts, we want you to spend your time wisely when traveling, especially if you are visiting for a short period of time. So today we want to introduce you to “Universal’s Great Movie Espace”! Never heard about it? It's fine, These themed Escape Rooms has been a soursweet attraction for many visitors inside Universal CityWalk, and we tell you why.

Universal’s Great Movie Escape

As mentioned earlier, this attraction is located in Universal CityWalk and consists of an escape room offering two different experiences. One is inspired by the prehistoric characters of Jurassic World and is simply called Jurassic World: Escape, while the other takes a futuristic approach to the past with Back to the Future: OUTATIME.

Each immersive environment is designed to challenge your mental skills through engaging narratives and innovative challenges (such as puzzles and tasks). You have 90 minutes to solve it all. However, this attraction might not be your first choice when visiting Universal. Many guests have expressed how their high expectations simply weren't met. Bummer, even more if we consider it has one of my favorite franchises of all time... Back to the Future!

First of all, you have to pay an extra $39.99 (subject to change) plus taxes to try this escape room. Nope, you cannot use the park ticket for this one. The general idea of the attraction is pretty good but poorly executed. Some of the clues may not be as helpful as you wish they were, which also makes it less interesting to children and younger guests.

Additionally, you may feel rushed through the tasks, which can be a disappointing experience for many fans of the movies, especially for the Back to the Future franchise. The storyline is not clear, and while they have attempted to incorporate related facts from the different movies, it may seem that it wasn't a good idea. Great Scott, it's like we need to travel to the past to fix that attraction!

Want to take the risk?

As we mentioned, it's up to you to decide whether to try it or not, but according to many online reviews, it's not really worth the hype or the try. You may want to prioritize other rides and save this one for last if you truly want to try it. However, the final decision is entirely yours.

Feel free to reach out to our team of experts for more detailed information on related attractions with better reviews than this one. We'll be more than happy to assist you not only in planning your dream vacation, but also in suggesting the best attractions for a wonderful experience.

Until the next one, dear friend!
