Is the food good? Sure. Most reviews online also agree with me, and say that it’s above average for a beach resort like this. Now, is the food amazing like you’d expect from a five star French restaurant? Nah. I also don’t think this will ever happen in a Beach Resort, since they have to make a lot of food in a short amount of time for thousands of guests. For such a difficult challenge, they’ve done quite well.

Dining Types to Beaches Ocho Rios

You can find a lot of different options in Beaches Ocho Rios. Love French Cuisine and something that looks charming and elegant? Try La Parisienne. How about Seafood? Neptune’s is one of the best restaurants on-site with an amazing view. There are options for pizza and even a creperie for those that want something good and sweet.

At the time of this writing, restaurants at Beaches Ocho Rios do not require reservations. If a restaurant does require a reservation due to a policy change or peak seasons, make sure to book as soon as you arrive, or ask the concierge desk to do it for you (if you are staying in a concierge suite). Fancy dining options typically fit this description. Guests sit down and order their food à la carte, similar to a traditional restaurant. Many places that offer Italian and French cuisine follow this style. Some restaurants offer buffets throughout the day, while others transition from buffet to a traditional à la carte style in the evening.

What do you wear to dinner in Beaches Ocho Rios?

Many guests often wonder what to wear when going out for dinner. “Do I need to dress all fancy? Do I need a beautiful dress or the tuxedo I last wore to my high school prom?” Relax, friends.

As of 2024, only one restaurant at Beaches Ocho Rios requires Resort Evening Attire, which normally means jeans, long or short sleeve dress shirts, and dress shoes. That restaurant is La Parisienne, considered one of the most romantic ones in the entire resort. All other restaurants only require Resort Casual attire, meaning you just need shorts, a t-shirt, and slippers to enjoy your meal.

The Best restaurants at Beaches Ocho Rios

Neptune’s

Type: Resort casual, seafood, sit-down, dinner.

If anyone knows a thing or two about the ocean, it’s Neptune, also known as Poseidon. This restaurant exudes the charm of a casual bistro and is open for dinner only. The menu offers an impressive amount of choices, from bruschettas to Mahi Mahi, grilled swordfish, and Seafood Tagine. Portions tend to be tiny, so make sure to order multiple times. Neptune’s is also situated on a beautiful deck, offering you an amazing view of the sunset and the entire ocean in front of you.

Bar B Q Park

Type: Resort casual, snacks, BBQ, quick-service, lunch, dinner.

This is a great spot to grab a quick bite. Located near the swimming pools and waterpark, you can easily pick up food and take it to your private cabana, the waterpark, or even your room. You'll find hamburgers, sandwiches, fries, and much more. Comfort food pairs perfectly with a vacation, so it's great that Ocho Rios has a restaurant like this. The jerk chicken is a huge deal here, so make sure to try it at least once. There's also a self-serve ice cream station that kids (and let's be honest, us adults) adore. This is one of the best restaurants available since it’s open most of the day, offers a huge variety of food and you can take it anywhere.

Quick-Service restaurants at Beaches Ocho Rios

Josephine's Creperie

Type: Resort casual, crepes, quick-service, breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Ahhh, crepes. How I love them. This restaurant is located in the French Village and offers not only crepes of all kinds, but several snacks, smoothies and even iced coffees. It’s open for most of the day, and another great choice if you want to grab a quick bite. The signature crepe is the crêpe au chocolat, filled with chocolate and almond ganache.

Sit-Down & Buffet restaurants at Beaches Ocho Rios

La Parisienne

Type: Resort evening attire, french food, sit-down, dinner.

La Parisienne is the classiest sit-down restaurant in the entire resort. Enjoy fine French cuisine with beautiful ocean views. It's a great spot for a romantic dinner but not ideal for bringing kids. La Parisienne is only open for dinner and requires formal attire, which may not be enjoyable for little ones. The food is okay, and the atmosphere is distinctly different compared to the rest of Ocho Rios. Come here mostly for a different experience.

Bayside

Type: Resort casual, international cuisine, buffet, breakfast, lunch dinner.

Bayside is one of the main restaurants in the entire resort, and there is a good chance that you will come here more than once during your trip. It’s located in the main area of the resort and overlooks one of the main pools, offering continental breakfast and buffets for lunch and dinner. This is probably the best place for a good breakfast, since it offers a smoothie station, fresh fruits and an omelet station as well.

Bella Napoli Pizzeria

Type: Resort casual, pizza, sit-down/quick-service, lunch, dinner.

This pizzeria, located outside Bar B Q Park, specializes in - you guessed it - pizza! Pizza fits perfectly with the idea of a great beach vacation. Enjoy the view of the waterpark and swimming pools while eating as much pizza as you want. They offer unique options like Jamaican Jerk Chicken pizza and sweet flavors like chocolate and banana. You can either sit down and order a whole pizza, which may take a bit of time, or you can grab a slice and continue with your day.

The Venetian

Type: Resort casual, italian, antipasto buffet, sit-down, meet & greet events, dinner.

The main Italian restaurant at Beaches Ocho Rios is located just below the main lobby. They offer a buffet with bread, soup, and a few Italian dishes, but you can also order meals like their signature lasagna. It's a great option if you enjoy pasta. This is also the restaurant where you can meet and greet Sesame Street characters during breakfast, so be sure to check the schedule for these events.
