Disney World’s 50th-anniversary statues are... "back"?

When visiting Walt Disney World, guests may notice some changes like the transition from the Fall Season to Christmas Season, or the different new attractions that are under construction around the parks (we are talking about you, Tiana's Bayou Adventure).

Some changes may go unnoticed at first glance. You will have to look twice before catching them, especially at Magic Kingdom.

    Bibbidi Bobbidi... Boo?

Early 2023, the 50th Disney World anniversary celebration came to an end, but this does not mean that the various decorations around the park faded away magically. The staff tried to remove as much as possible, especially from the most noticeable spots, yet there were still a few items laying around the park. Let’s see if you notice them.

Can you spot the shiny Disney Characters?

Laying around in different spots of magic Kingdom you can find a golden statue of each of our favorite Disney characters that was made especially for the 50th-anniversary celebration. They have suffered. however, a few transformations lately.

The 50th-anniversary logo presented in each statue are gone since September, and now the statues perfectly merge with the rest of the park. We are so pleased with that, it would have been a shame to remove the statues entirely too, they are so cute!

    What about this?

There has been a curious modification recently in some statues, with the inclusion of new symbols that we cannot decipher yet. For example, the Abdu statue holds a globe symbol, and the Stitch statue holds a weird alien symbol. Well, we think it's an alien symbol? Stitch is an alien, so it would make sure he is trying to contact his friends!

Now this makes us come up with many new questions: is Disney trying to send us a message? or does Mickey want us to discover an upcoming surprise?

We don’t have the answers yet, but one thing for sure is that the statues remain so cute and aesthetically pleasing.
