Who knew that birds could be this much fun?

Birds! Relax and stay with me, I will be using that word a lot during this section, okay? Well, let’s continue. Everyone loves birds, even more so if they are trained birds to perform amazing feats right in front of our eyes. Feathered Friends is a live performance which has bird trainers bringing birds of all styles and sizes to show us birdamazing displays of skill and dexterity. Birds.

This is a very fun 22-minute show with a similar vibe to Universal’s Animal Actors on Location. Guests sometimes are called on stage to interact with the various animals, which is always funny. Kids tend to enjoy these live performances more than adults do, so you should bring them here. Just remember that, as a live show, you should check your park map to see show times and if you can fit it in you itinerary.

You won’t just see beautiful birds here, but also learn some interesting facts and see how they are important to planet Earth. Yep, Disney’s very own animal trainers come on stage to share some interesting facts about some of our favorite feathered animals out there. It’s actually crazy how smart these creatures are. It even starts out with a bird that looks like a crow (maybe it’s a crow? I’m not a birdexpert) grabbing a plastic bottle from the ground, walking and throwing it inside a trash can. Seriously, those birds are doing better than us humans. You will also see owls, parrots and much more. Yes, the parrots speak English. And Spanish.

Birds also fly over the stage and zip right past your head. It’s actually incredible how they interact with the audience and never go out of script. Well, almost never. Sure, sometimes a bird can take a while to do something, but that’s perfectly normal. I love them. There is also a lot of non-scripted stuff happening. A lot of times, the anima trainers will ask the crowd for someone to get up and raise their arms, or take a step forward, and a bird will actually fly to them or even land on their heads.

Make sure to check your park map for show times, and arrive a little bit earlier than usual. There should be two or three presentations per day, so pick your favorite time slot and have fun.

Will Kids enjoy it?

Hey, this is a live show featuring animals, there is no way your kids won’t like that, right? The entire show lasts about 20-25 minutes, and it manages to be fun the whole time. Sometimes the trainers even invite kids on stage so they can also interact with the real stars of the show. So yeah, get your camera ready, there is a chance your children will be called to feed a giant falcon or something. Well, actually I don’t know if they have falcons. As I said, I’m not that good when it comes to bird specimens, but they are pretty fun, trust me.
