Visit these places when the temperature goes up at Disneyland
Exploring Disney parks is an absolute blast. From hopping between rides to meeting your beloved characters and simply enjoying yourself, it's all part of the magical experience we crave. However, it's crucial to always consider the temperature whenever you visit. Oh yeah, Summer in California can get really next, just like it happens in Florida!
Extreme heat can indeed disrupt the laid-back pace of your trip, and we're committed to ensuring you have as stress-free an experience as possible. I won't lie, last time I was in Disneyland in June, it was so hot that I had to buy an Indiana Jones hat just to not burn down. When I returned to my hotel later, I wasn't feeling well. So, here's an extra tip: remember to use sunscreen and drink plenty of water during your summer visits. Also, don't forget to wear hats, they really make a difference!
Let's explore some cool spots within the park where you can seek relief during the scorching seasons.
Where can I go before melting from the heat at Disneyland?
As mentioned earlier, the fun and laughter of the first few rides can quickly turn stressful as the California temperatures soar. This is especially true if you're with kids or have a low tolerance for heat. In such cases, it's crucial to have a plan B in place before your visit. But don't worry, we've got you covered.
If you're looking to cool off and take a well-deserved break from the scorching sun, grab a pencil and paper (or simply use your phone notes). Write down the following rides that will provide you with a refreshing breeze to keep your excitement going at the park.
List of rides & shows to visit during hot hours
- Mickey’s Philanrmagic
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Main Street Cinema
- The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure
- Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
- Great moments with Mr. Lincoln
- “It’s a small world”
We don’t expect you to spend the entire day inside those rides and shows. Instead, you can organize your day around them. During the hottest hours, you can visit your favorite indoor attractions, and during the cooler times, you can enjoy outdoor rides like Radiator Springs Racers.
Where else can I go?
If you're simply looking to hang out without catching a show or going on a ride, consider visiting the Animation building located in Disney California Adventure. Many families already do this, as it's a fantastic way to refresh during those times.
For Disney Vacation Club members, make good use of the Star Wars Launch Bay building, where a VIP lounge awaits you. You can even recharge your energy levels with the free snacks and drinks available there.
